Auctus Management Group Participates In WW1 Charity Bike Ride

The year 2018 will mark 100 years since the end of World War One, and with Auctus Management Group Ltd’s commitment to the Armed Forces, we will be participating in the Royal British Legion’s charity fund raising bike ride from London to Paris from Thursday 30th August – Monday 3rd September.

Richard Toy, CEO and Sean Harrison, Managing Director for RSS INFRASTRUCTURE Ltd, have set themselves a goal to cycle the event and they are looking for fellow team members who would be committed to the challenge and can complete the 460km London to Paris ride.

This is by no means an easy challenge, as participants will be cycling over 100km per day, so this will require serious commitment to training and conditioning to anyone interested, so if you are serious about improving your health and well-being then this may be the challenge for you in 2018.

A commitment from each rider and Auctus Management Group Ltd is to raise £900, per person, for the charity in sponsorship money. An official Auctus Management Group Ltd ‘Just Giving’ page will be set up, and they have vowed to cover the cost of entry as the company’s charity donation for it’s employees.

The charity bike race’s itinerary is as follows:

Day 1: London to Calais (129km): Leave the capital bright and early and head south through some of Kent’s finest scenery.

Day 2: Calais to Abbeville (120.9km): Through the beautiful fields and open countryside of the Pas de Calais region.

Day 3: Abbeville to Beauvais (106.9km): From the town of Abbeville through the Somme and Oise regions of Picardie.

Day 4: Beauvais to Paris (100.8km): The final stretch from Beauvais to Paris.

Day 5: Paris to London: Return travel on the Eurostar on Monday.

We will post more about the charity event closer to the event, and for further information about the event and how you can enter, please click here

Please be mindful that there are some restrictions on health and types of bikes that can be used.
